‘Unbothered’ was first inspired by a colour I felt deeply drawn to - more than a colour, it felt like a mood.

I wanted to build a background through layered tones of orange, brown and red, with subtle light breaking through areas of shadow and depth.

I approached it slowly, working with thin, diluted layers, allowing each one to settle before intuitively responding with the next. Over time, the surface developed a quiet complexity - both energetic and grounded.

From there, I introduced a figure that feels effortless and unbothered - holding her own within the intensity of the space.

This piece feels like a meeting point between where my work has been and where it’s going - balancing rebellion, softness, luminosity and a quiet confidence.
